Chen Xiaohua visits the Minister of Public Works of Chile

Mr. Chen elaborated the development process, comprehensive strength, investment and financing capacity and transnational business of CGGC. He said that since entering the Latin American market, CGGC had undertaken trams in eastern Bogota of Columbia, Sopladora Hydropower Station Project in Ecuador, Rosa-Mante Carl Agricultural Development Project in Venezuela and many other infrastructure projects, contributing greatly to the social and economic development and people's livelihood in Latin America. The project of President Nestor Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic Hydropower Station across the Santa Cruz River in Argentina has attracted worldwide attention as the largest overseas project undertaken by Chinese enterprises so far. Chile is a good example of economic and social development in Latin America. Boasting of political stability, economic prosperity, complete legal system as well as all necessary factors and solid foundation for PPP projects, it is a nice investment target of transnational enterprieses. CGGC is willing to give full play to its excellent strength in hydropower construction for the whole world and help to improve Chile's national economy and life of people.

Minister Undurraga highly commended CGGC's comprehensive business scopes, comprehensive strength and achievements in international business and extended deep appreciation for the contribution of CGGC to the improvement of infrastructures in Latin America. According to him, China is the largest export market of Chile, and the two countries have witnessed prosperous bilateral trade. Chinese enterprises just launched an investment campaign in Chile and saw immense growth opportunities. Chile welcomes strong and experienced state-owned Chinese enterprises such as CGGC to profoundly involve in Chile's infrastructure development to help the local economic growth and people's livelihood.

The Minister also provided the detailed text of Chile's four-year plan for infrastructure development and invited CGGC delegation to make field surveys as soon as possible, looking forward to meeting CGGC again in San Diego, the capital city of Chile.
