CGGC Signs Contract for Nam Khong-III Hydropower Station in Laos

On November 15, 2017, CGGC affiliated to CEEC signed the Contract for Civil Works of Nam Khong-III Hydropower Station in Laos with CHALEUN SEKONG Energy Co., Ltd. in Vientiane, Capital of Laos.Kamani  Inthira, Minister of Ministry of Energy and Mines of Laos, and Wang Qihui, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Laos also witnessed the signing ceremony.Li Enyi, CGGC General Manager Assistant and President of Gezhouba Group No.6 Engineering Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony on behalf of CGGC, and signed the contract together with the Chief Representative of CGGC in Laos.

Located in Attapeu Province in southern Laos, Nam Khong-III Hydropower Station has a total installed capacity of 54MW and an annual power generation of 480 million kWh. The contract duration of the Project is 30 months. The Owner of the Project is CHALEUN SEKONG Energy Co., Ltd. of Laos, and the  Project mainly involves such structures as RCC dam, diversion tunnel, spillway, surface powerhouse, headrace tunnel and switching station.

The successful signing of the contract further consolidates the basis for the in-depth exploration and sustainable development of CGGC in Laos; it is a model for the successful cooperation between CGGC and private investment entity in Laos, and it will create good economic and social benefits for the development of southern Laos.
