Wang Jianping noted that, over the past five years, Energy China has made proactive response to the “Belt and Road” Initiative, further accelerated its international operation strategy, and has successfully achieved the transformation from a single design, construction and equipment supplier to a supplier offering package solutions, from pure engineering contracting to the integration of investment-construction-operation, and from pure electricity business to both electricity and non-electricity businesses. While practicing the “go global” strategy, Energy China proactively fulfills the social responsibilities as a central enterprise and shares the achievements of collaborative development with the host country, thus achieving the mutual benefit and win-win result. He also noted that, as the “Belt and Road” Initiative enters a new stage, Chinese EPC enterprises should vigorously grasp the opportunities of increasingly promising prospect of overseas energy infrastructure projects and proactively practice the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration, thus achieving collaborative and win-win cooperation.

Before the forum, Wang Jianping met with Rachel Duan, Senior Vice President and CEO of Greater China of General Electric. Both parties had an in-depth discussion on enhancing the cooperation in early-stage project development, investment and financing, and in the field of renewable energy. In the meantime, both parties also witnessed the signing of the Strategic Agreement on Power Generation Solution for Energy China NEPC and General Electric Aero-derivative Units.

GE China has organized Energy Infrastructure Cooperation Forum in China for 5 consecutive years, which attracts over 600 participants from government agencies, financing institutions, Chinese EPC enterprises, as well as the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.

Xue Danfeng, Director of International Business Pision of Energy China, relevant principals of Energy China Planning & Engineering Group, CGGC International, NEPC, Lyu Zexiang, General Manager of CGGC International, General Manager Assistant Li Jianfeng, and Li Xiaodan, General Manager of CGGC Overseas Investment were also present.
