CGGC Signs Contract Agreement of 300MW Hydroelectric Power Plant in Indonesia

On September 17, 2018, CGGC signed the EPC Contract of Salo Pebatta II 300 MW Hydroelectric Power Plant with PT. Lentera Damar Amerta from Indonesia. Principal of CGGC Indonesia Office and representative of PT. Lentera Damar Amerta signed the contract under the witness of Zhou Jianhua, Party Secretary and Chairman of CGGC Three Gorges Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. The successful contract signing of the project indicates that CGGC has made new achievement in the field of infrastructure construction in Indonesia, and will make more contributions to the economic and trading cooperation between China and Indonesia to boost the rapid economic and social development of Indonesia.

As a pioneer and leading enterprise in practicing the “Belt and Road” Initiative, CGGC has successfully undertaken a remarkable number of national strategic projects of Indonesia in recent years, including Asahan No.1 Hydropower Station, PLTU TAKALAR and PARIT BARU CFPP, making outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Indonesia, as well as the economic and trading cooperation between the two countries. Indonesian President Joko has hosted the opening and completion ceremony of the PLTU TAKALAR via video. He noted that excellent Chinese enterprises such as CGGC are welcomed to extensively participate in energy infrastructure construction projects in Indonesia to boost the rapid economic and social development of Indonesia.

Located in Xiji County, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, Salo Pebatta II 300 MW Hydroelectric Power Plant has a planned installed capacity of 300MW and an annual mean power generation capacity of about 1.6 billion kWh. The Project mainly involves the construction of main structures including barrage, water Persion system, switch yard, powerhouse, etc. After completion, the Project will not only greatly ease the current local electricity shortage, but also provide a large number of local employment opportunities, and train a group of experienced technical workers, thus driving the development of local building material and equipment manufacturing industries.
