Yu Gang Attends Series Activities of the 9th Business Forum of CEEC & China

On April 12, the 9th Business Forum of CEEC & China was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, which is one of the important activities of the Eighth Summit of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern European Countries. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej PLENKOVIĆ attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Yu Gang, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of Energy China, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and plenary meeting, accompanied by Xin Zongyi, Deputy General Manager of CGGC International.

On the eve of the opening of the Forum, Yu Gang attended the 5th Meeting of the China-CEEC Joint Chamber of Commerce and delivered a speech. He introduced the development of Energy China’s businesses in Central and Eastern Europe and discussed with the participants how Chinese enterprises can effectively participate in the Central and Eastern Europe market, and how enterprises and financial institutions can cooperate closely to develop Central and Eastern Europe and the third-party markets.

During the Forum, Yu Gang met with Mirko Sarovic, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The parties had in-depth discussions on promoting the implementation of the financing for Unit # 7 of Thermal Power Plant Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and infrastructure construction projects such as the 5C Highway in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Yu Gang introduced the concrete measures that are taken by Energy China with financial and insurance institutions. Mirko Sarovic noted that the Central Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina will fully support the implementation of Unit # 7 of Thermal Power Plant Tuzla and put it into construction within this year.

During the period, Yu Gang also had in-depth communication with principals of the Export-Import Bank of China, SINOSURE, CHN ENERGY and other enterprises on such problems as jointly developing the Central and Eastern Europe market and promoting the financing for projects, with multiple consensuses reached.

Principals of International Business Division of Energy China, CGGC International, CGGC Bosnia and Herzegovina Branch were also present.
