On July 31, CGGC International and Fiji Hydropower Co., Ltd. successfully signed the EPC Contract for the Viti Island Hydropower Project in Fiji through video connection, which marks a breakthrough made in the Fiji hydropower market and bears great significance for promoting the deep cultivation of the South Pacific market.

The Viti Island Hydropower Station in Fiji consists of three small hydropower stations, with a cumulative installed capacity of 32MW. The development and construction of the Project will speed up the construction of the Fiji National Grid, ease the tension in Fiji’s electricity demand, and provide clean and renewable energy for the development of Fiji’s industrial and agricultural production and tourism, as well as people’s daily electricity consumption.

As a benchmark for China’s “Going Global” and one of the leading companies for the construction of the “Belt and Road”, CGGC has its international business covering 142 countries and regions around the world, including the largest hydropower station in South America- the Kongla Hydropower Station in Argentina, and Africa’s largest hydropower station- the Kaikai Hydropower Station in Angola, as well as a number of major hydropower projects with global influence, further consolidating its leading position in the world's hydropower industry. CGGC will continue to leverage its professional advantages in hydropower construction and build the Fiji Viti Island Hydropower Project into a high-quality project that will benefit the Fijian people.
